This virtual museum has been started by the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka and it is one of the results of field research and connections with local safeguards of the maritime heritage on the northern-east Adriatic. The research was carried out within the EU project MALA BARKA2 – Preservation of the maritime heritage of the northern Adriatic, within the Programme Interreg V-A Slovenia – Croatia 2014-2020. #pgž
Mala Barka Museum offers a virtual walk across the border and learning about rich maritime heritage that creates an important part of the local identity.
Maritime heritage has been presented through the following categories: architecture related to maritime affairs, objects of maritime signalisation, museum institutions and interpretation centres, collections and visitor centres, monuments, signs with maritime titles and motifs, cultural-historical heritage on the coastland and under the sea.
