Publishing at the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka is an integral and recognised part of the museum’s work and a way to introduce its rich holdings, as well as the projects in which the museum participates. 2003 marked the 110th anniversary of continuous museum activities in Rijeka, and as a particularly valuable, and to date, the only publication which details the development of the museum’s activities from its beginnings to the present day, a monograph of the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral in Rijeka was published, which in 2004 was awarded the annual prize by the Croatian Museum Association, the highest award in the profession. Closely associated with the activity of the museum, especially with exhibitions and education, each year sees the publication of valuable titles in a series of monographs and catalogues, educational programmes and guides.
