Little Museum Atelier – MuMA

The Little Museum Atelier (MuMA) is a specific art workshop in which children develop their creativity in the Museum and study original artworks, interpreting them via verbal and visual expression. The Little Museum Atelier fosters an individual approach to each child, keeping in mind their age, artistic aptitude and particular interests; they play with art supplies, discuss works of art and learn to analyse the artistic and creative aspects of work by others. Artistic creativity is often inspired by telling stories rooted in historical facts tied to the local heritage, imaginary journeys or a combination of both. An exhibition and conferral of certificates to participants is organized at the end of each school year.

The workshop is intended for children aged 5 to 11
Held on: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Applications accepted throughout the school year
Price: HRK 100/month

‘Performers from the Gov’ drama workshop

The drama workshop entitled ‘Performers from the Gov’ is held under the direction of academically-trained actor Zoran Josić, and in it participants get to know the basics of the dramatic arts, acting and other stage skills, as well as the theory and practice of set and costume design. This programme is unique because of its substantial ties to the history of Rijeka, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County and the activities of the Museum whose materials and premises in the Governor’s Palace are used for dramatic inspiration and sets. All of these themes are adapted to the age, abilities and preferences of participants. This type of activity is also invaluable to the Museum, which is opened to the wider public and a specific group of visitors, thus bringing its historical setting and materials to life.

The workshop is intended for children aged 8 to 18
Held on: Wednesdays and Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m.
Applications are accepted throughout the school year
Price: HRK 100/month
