Educational museum action
Since 1998, the Croatian Museum Society has been actively involved in the celebration of International Museum Day, May 18, by organizing an educational campaign for young museum visitors. The leader of the educational campaign is the Section for museum pedagogy and cultural action of HMD. For years, this action has been held for a month, and the end itself is held on May 18. Each of the participating museums creates and implements its own program on a given theme, and the theme coincides with the common theme proposed by ICOM – the International Committee for Museums.
In 2016, after several years of hiatus, the museum collection of Kastav region is again actively involved in this international program.
