Ring (twisted)
During archaeological excavations of an early medieval graveyard around the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Rijeka’s Old Town, a spiral bronze ring was discovered. It was in a tomb right next to the church that may have belonged to the Nikolić family of Rijeka. This is the only ring of this type found during the excavations of this graveyard, and it has been dated to the 15th century. The ring is held in the Early Modern Collection of the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka and served as the inspiration for this souvenir.
