Instructions to visitors (COVID-19)
12. March, 2020.

Dear visitors to the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka,
Given the current epidemiological situation, we are hereby notifying you that the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka is closely monitoring developments and the recommendations and decisions issued by the Civil Defence Crisis Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia , the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Civil Defence Crisis Headquarters and the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Public Health Institute  and is implementing all recommended measures. Stations with disinfectants and information on protective measures have been set up in the Museum. We are further undertaking all measures in our power so that we can reduce risks to our visitors to the greatest possible extent. We have bolstered the sanitation of facilities, we regularly ventilate and we disinfect all objects and surfaces that are frequently touched.
With the aim of curtailing the risk of transmission of the disease caused by the new strain of coronavirus (COVID-19), until further notice we are cancelling all events and educational programmes, which included organized visits by groups in the Museum (all professionally guided tours, lectures, workshops and educational birthday workshops). We shall limit the number of visitors in the Museum at the same time to a maximum of 10, given that individual sections of our permanent display, exhibition halls and rooms for educational programmes do not have sufficient space to allow for the recommended interpersonal distance between visitors.
Pursuant to the advice issued by the Civil Defence Administration of the Republic of Croatia, we ask that you refrain from customary non-verbal communication, which includes shaking hands, and to avoid close social contact. If you are suffering from a respiratory ailment and/or have a high temperature (higher than 37.5 °C), please do not visit the Museum.
We hope that you will understand our decision made in the interest of reducing the risk of transmission of the illness caused by the new strain of coronavirus (COVID-19) for all of our fellow citizens and that you will continue to keep track of our programmes.
