Project completion – notification
29. March, 2019.

Implementation of the Integrated Project of Revitalisation of the Governor’s Palace and the Nugent House in Rijeka, KK.06.1.1.01.0037, co-financed by the European Union, via the European Regional Development Fund, OP KK 2014-2020, was successfully completed on 30 January 2019.
In cooperation with project partners, associates and contractors engaged to perform project activities, comprehensive project and technical documentation was developed for the revitalisation of two registered cultural landmarks: the Governor’s Palace, which houses the Maritime and Historical Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka, and the Decrevi House (Nugent House) at Trsat.
The completed project documentation was a prerequisite for the overall renovation of these buildings and the conversion of the Nugent House into a museum space, which will, in the long run solve the problems tied to the poor condition of the buildings, their spatial reorganization, the functional use of space, and the associated development of tourism potential and the more effective protection and monetization of cultural resources.
